💙 B.I.O.N.I.C. Team
Believe It Or Not I Care
The LHS Peer Ambassadors coordinate the B.I.O.N.I.C. Team, an outreach program designed to support students and staff who are experiencing challenging times. When someone in our school community is going through difficulty, the Peer Ambassadors reach out with care and compassion.
When We Reach Out
The B.I.O.N.I.C. Team provides support when a student or staff member experiences:
- Hospitalization
- An illness or health condition resulting in extended absences (more than a week)
- A death in the family
- A tragedy affecting the school community
How We Support
The Peer Ambassadors follow up on referrals by reaching out to the student, staff member, and/or family with a thoughtful card and small gift to show we care. These gestures remind our community members that they are not alone during difficult times.
Contact the counseling office or a Peer Ambassador adviser, and we'll follow up as soon as possible.
