Peer Ambassadors
📢 Our Mission
We, as Peer Ambassadors, will strive to break down barriers and promote a positive environment by encouraging acceptance, growth, and trust in the school community.
Who We Are
Peer Ambassadors are junior and senior students at Loveland High School who work alongside school counselors to provide support, resources, and mentorship to their fellow students. We are trained leaders committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where every Red Wolf feels valued and supported.
As Peer Ambassadors, we:
- Work with LHS school counselors to offer support and resources to our peers
- Meet once a week during lunch or after school for training and information
- Receive specialized training to help us be effective in supporting others
- Serve as positive role models and leaders in our school community
Important: Students cannot apply to be a Peer Ambassador until the second semester of their sophomore year.
What we Do
💙 B.I.O.N.I.C. Team
Believe It Or Not I Care
The LHS Peer Ambassadors coordinate the B.I.O.N.I.C. Team, an outreach program designed to support students and staff who are experiencing challenging times. When someone in our school community is going through difficulty, the Peer Ambassadors reach out with care and compassion.
When We Reach Out
The B.I.O.N.I.C. Team provides support when a student or staff member experiences:
- Hospitalization
- An illness or health condition resulting in extended absences (more than a week)
- A death in the family
- A tragedy affecting the school community
How We Support
The Peer Ambassadors follow up on referrals by reaching out to the student, staff member, and/or family with a thoughtful card and small gift to show we care. These gestures remind our community members that they are not alone during difficult times.
Know someone who could use support?
Contact the counseling office or a Peer Ambassador adviser, and we'll follow up as soon as possible.
