What is Key Club?
Key Club is an international student-led organization sponsored by Kiwanis Club International. As one of the largest student service organizations in the world, Key Club provides opportunities for high school students to make a positive impact through service, leadership development, and building strong character.
Our Purpose: To help our school and community while having fun and developing lifelong leadership skills!
What Key Club Members Do:
- Participate in service projects that benefit the school and community
- Develop leadership skills through hands-on experiences
- Connect with students who share a passion for service
- Build character and make lifelong friendships
- Attend district and international conferences
- Make a real difference in the Loveland community
Membership Information
Joining Key Club is easy! All Loveland High School students are welcome.
- Attend a Key Club meeting (no prior experience needed)
- Complete a membership form
- Pay annual dues of $15 (supports local, district, and international activities)
- Submit a signed parent permission slip
- Start participating in service projects and meetings!

Earn your Key Club letter by completing the following requirements:
- Pay $15 in annual dues
- Have a signed parent permission slip on file
- Attend at least 50% of meetings throughout the year
- Log 50 hours of community service (at least 25 hours must be Key Club-sponsored events)
- Personal service hours must include an explanation and supervisor's signature
- Attend all required events (some activities may be mandatory due to size or importance)
Being a responsible Key Club member means:
- Attending meetings regularly and participating actively
- Following through on event commitments
- Finding a replacement if you cannot attend an event you signed up for
- Communicating with sponsors when issues arise
- Representing Key Club positively in the school and community
Leadership Opportunities:
- Elections are held in February each year
- Any active Key Club member from the previous year can run for office
- Officers meet regularly to plan events and lead the organization
- Officer positions provide excellent leadership experience for college applications
Running for a Key Club officer position is a great way to develop your leadership skills and make a bigger impact!
Service & Activities
Throughout the year, Key Club members participate in various service projects that benefit both our school and the broader Loveland community. Service projects may include:
- Community clean-up events
- Food drives and holiday assistance programs
- School beautification projects
- Supporting local nonprofits and charities
- Fundraising for Key Club service initiatives
- Volunteering at community events
- Partnering with local Kiwanis Club on service projects
Project announcements and sign-ups are shared at meetings and through club communications.
Key Club members have opportunities to attend district and international conferences where they can:
- Connect with Key Club members from across the region and world
- Attend leadership workshops and training sessions
- Participate in service project competitions
- Hear from inspiring speakers
- Vote on district and international Key Club initiatives
- Have fun and make lasting memories!
Conference attendance information and opportunities will be announced throughout the year.
Our Kiwanis Partnership
Key Club is sponsored by Kiwanis International, a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. The Loveland Kiwanis Club supports our Key Club chapter and provides mentorship, resources, and service project opportunities.
Through this partnership, Key Club members gain:
- Access to a network of community leaders and professionals
- Mentorship from experienced Kiwanis members
- Support for service projects and initiatives
- Connection to a global service organization
