Concert & Symphonic Bands:
- Concert Band: Foundational ensemble developing fundamental skills and musicianship
- Symphonic Band: Intermediate ensemble with more challenging repertoire
- Wind Ensemble: Advanced ensemble performing college-level literature
Jazz Ensembles:
- Jazz Ensemble 3 (Beginning): Introduction to jazz styles, improvisation, and performance
- Jazz Ensemble 2 (Intermediate): Developing jazz techniques and repertoire
- Jazz Ensemble 1 (Advanced): Elite jazz group performing at festivals and competitions
Marching Band:
- Marching Band (Levels 1-4): Fall performance ensemble combining music, marching, and visual elements for football games and competitions
- Percussion/Colorguard: Specialized sections for percussion and visual performance
Loveland High Performing Arts is a choral and theatrical program which aims to develop high levels of creative and expressive performance in order to artistically enrich the lives of our students, families, and community.
Choir Ensembles:
- Treble Choir: Non-audition group for treble range voices, open to all students
- Tenor/Bass Choir: Non-audition group for tenor/bass voices, open to all students
- Bella Voce (Advanced Treble Choir): Elite female choir performing at competitions and conferences
- Chamber Singers: Elite ensemble of 20-26 of Loveland High's best vocalists (10th-12th grade)
- Jazz Choir: Auditioned ensemble of 12-16 members performing vocal jazz standards (10th-12th grade)
Theatre Productions:
- Fall Play: Annual play production with auditions in late August and performances in October
- Winter Musical: Large-scale musical production with auditions in November and performances before spring break
- Spring One Acts: Student-directed short plays with auditions in March and performances in April
- Theatre Troupe: Drama club meeting every first and third Wednesday at lunch
The LHS Orchestra Program provides comprehensive string instruction and ensemble performance opportunities for students at all levels.
Orchestra Ensembles:
- Concert Orchestra: Foundational string ensemble for developing musicians
- Symphony Orchestra: Intermediate ensemble with more advanced repertoire
- Philharmonic Orchestra: Advanced ensemble performing challenging classical and contemporary works
- Chamber Orchestra: Elite small ensemble focusing on chamber music literature

Music Theory courses provide the foundation for understanding how music works, from basic notation to advanced harmonic analysis.
Course Content:
- Fundamentals: Note reading, rhythm, scales, and key signatures
- Harmony: Chord construction, progressions, and voice leading
- Ear Training: Interval recognition, melodic and harmonic dictation
- Composition: Writing original music in various styles
- Analysis: Understanding form, structure, and compositional techniques
AP Music Theory:
- College-level course preparing students for the AP exam
- Advanced harmonic analysis and part-writing
- Sight-singing and aural skills development
- Composition and arranging projects
- Opportunity to earn college credit
Piano classes offer students the opportunity to develop keyboard skills in a supportive classroom environment, from absolute beginners to advanced pianists.
