How simple or extensive your application process will be depends on the types of colleges you are interested in applying to. A lot of moving parts go into applying to college-essays, transcripts, recommendation letters, exams- each of these elements has a deadline that needs to be met. Free college application days in Colorado happen in October, mark your calendar.

MEET WITH COLLEGE REPS
Each year, Loveland High Scool hosts college reps from across the state and the Western region of the US inlcuding Hawaii to provide an opportunity for juniors and seniors to learn more about prospective colleges. Please check with your counselor or in the library for a list of college rep visits with dates and times.
COLLEGE ENTRANCE EXAMS
EXAM OVERVIEW
SAT
College Board Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). The SAT consists of two sections: critical reading and math. The test is a measure of the critical thinking skills you will need for academic success in college. The SAT assesses how well you analyze and problem solve—skills you learned in school that you will need in college.
ACT
The American College Test (ACT) measures the knowledge, understanding, and skills that you have acquired throughout your education. The major portion of the ACT battery consists of four tests: English, Math, Reading, and Science, in addition to an optional writing portion.
