ACADEMICS AT LOVELAND HIGH SCHOOL

Loveland High School is a learning community in which all members are held to high standards of academic honesty. We know that honesty and integrity are fundamental to learning, establishing trust, and personal development. These values are central to promoting personal responsibility, becoming principled and balanced learners who take pride in ourselves and our school.

Loveland High School is the only high school in the Thompson School District offering the International Baccalaureate Program MYP and DP for students. 80 % of students in the IB program successfully earned the IB Diploma. In addition to IB LHS also offers a broad range of AP courses available to grades 9-12. Loveland High School had 49 AP scholars in the 23-24 school year. We value these benefits that students gain when taking AP courses at LHS :

● exposed to the rigor of college-level study

● explore advanced topics in greater depth and detail

● earn college credit while in high school

● build confidence in your capability to succeed in college

● increased likelihood of getting accepted to the college of your choice

● save money; course waivers earned in Advanced Placement will save on tuition

Our World Languages Program at LHS is proud to offer Spanish, French and German with levels 1-4 and Advance Placement courses. Students at LHS have the opportunity to graduate with a Seal of Bilteracy.  For more information please visit our World Language page

CLASSES OFFSITE: FRCC & AIMES

As high school students at LHS there are many opportunities to follow your interests and take classess outside of our main LHS campus while earning graduation credits and possibly college credits.
